US President Donald Trump has issued a blunt warning to Oman, threatening military action if the country interferes with US operations amid ongoing tensions with Iran.
In a recent interview with Fox News, Trump addressed bilateral negotiations taking place between Iranian diplomats and Omani officials regarding provisional shipping management in the Strait of Hormuz—a crucial maritime corridor for global energy supplies. Warned about Oman’s involvement in these parallel discussions, Trump stated, “If Oman gets in the way, we’ll bomb the s*** out of them.”
Trump further asserted that Iran must surrender, adding that while Iranian leadership are “good poker players,” the country is severely struggling under economic and strategic pressure. Addressing broader geopolitical goals in a post on Truth Social, Trump reiterated that the top priority for the US remains ensuring Iran never acquires nuclear weapons. His comments come as the deadline for a 60-day US-Iran ceasefire approaches.
