Manhunt and Arrest
Following the discovery, law enforcement noted that Aravind and his mother’s Honda Accord were missing from the residence. Local and state police issued a regional alert to locate the vehicle.
Early Wednesday morning, police officers in neighboring Wayland, Massachusetts, investigated an unrelated parking lot alarm and spotted the missing Accord. Aravind was found inside the vehicle and arrested without further incident.
Disturbing Search History Uncovered
Investigative findings released by the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office revealed troubling online activity leading up to the attack. Authorities state that Aravind had recently exhibited concerning behavior, including using the internet and AI tools to explore dark themes.
According to prosecutors, Aravind used ChatGPT to search for theoretical concepts and fantasies about killing his family, while requesting assistance to generate “Gothic novel” narratives featuring similar storylines and characters.
Aravind is slated to be processed through Lowell Juvenile Court before being formally arraigned on the murder and assault charges in Concord District Court, as juvenile courts lack jurisdiction over murder offenses.
