BIKANER/AJMER — The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) officially declared the Class 8 and Class 5 results for the 2025-26 academic year on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. This year’s results show a slight improvement in performance, with a record 97.01% of Class 8 students successfully clearing the exams.
Education Minister Madan Dilawar announced the results in a press conference, noting that the board successfully advanced the result timeline to March to ensure a timely start for the new academic session in April.
Class 8 Performance at a Glance
Over 12.8 lakh students appeared for the Class 8 exams held between February 19 and March 4, 2024.

Overall Pass Percentage: 97.01% (Up from 96.66% in 2025).

Total Students Passed: 12,45,735.

Gender Performance: Girls have once again outperformed boys.

Girls: 97.57% pass rate.

Boys: 96.52% pass rate.

Supplementary Category: 38,276 students have been placed in the supplementary category and will have another opportunity to pass through upcoming re-examinations.
Class 5 Performance Highlights
The Class 5 results were also released simultaneously, showing even higher success rates:

Overall Pass Percentage: 97.75%.

Total Students Passed: 13,33,936.

Gender Gap: Girls achieved a 97.94% pass rate compared to 97.59% for boys.

Note: The online marksheet is provisional. Original certificates will be issued by your respective schools at a later date.
Grading System
The Rajasthan Board uses a grading system where a Grade ‘D’ (33-40%) is the minimum requirement to pass. Students receiving an ‘E’ grade (0-32%) are placed in the supplementary category.
