Ducati has officially revealed the 2027 Panigale V4 and V4 S, introducing power upgrades, chassis modifications, and new electronic rider aids aimed at sharpening track performance. According to Ducati, the updates yield a 0.4-second lap time improvement at Vallelunga compared to the outgoing 2026 model.
1. Engine & Performance Upgrades
-
Power Output: The 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine now produces 218 hp at 13,500 rpm (+2 hp increase), enabled by a revised air intake, lubrication circuit, and exhaust system designed to minimize power losses.
-
Torque & Rev Limits: Peak torque stands at 120.6 Nm at 11,000 rpm. The rev limiter has been raised to 15,000 rpm in gears 2 through 5.
-
Revised Gearing: Longer final drive gearing (17/42 sprockets, up from 16/41) reduces required gear changes per lap.
-
Akrapovič Racing Exhaust Option: The optional Akrapovič Full Racing Exhaust PRO boosts power by +11 hp and +7 Nm, while cutting overall curb weight by 6.6 kg (from the standard 191 kg base weight).
2. Chassis, Suspension & Handling
-
Optimized Frame Flex: Lateral stiffness of the front monocoque frame has been reduced by 12%, delivering enhanced front-end grip and feel at high lean angles.
-
Suspension Setup:
-
Panigale V4: Fully adjustable Showa USD front forks paired with a Sachs rear monoshock.
-
Panigale V4 S: Öhlins suspension featuring the Smart EC 3.0 control system. The V4 S weighs 187 kg (4 kg lighter than the standard model) and includes MotoGP-inspired adjustable clip-on handlebars (10mm higher) for track use.
-
3. First-in-Class Electronic Rider Aids
-
Dynamic Engine Brake (DEB): Replaces the previous Engine Brake Control (EBC). Utilizes the Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) algorithm to optimize cornering stability and engine braking behavior at extreme lean angles.
-
Race Brake Control (RBC): Enhances rear-wheel contribution and stability under heavy braking scenarios.
4. Customization & Pricing
-
Ducati Factory Made & Lamborghini Options: The V4 S joins the Ducati Factory Made program, offering 11 color schemes (including 5 shades from Automobili Lamborghini’s Ad Personam palette), 2 liveries (Corse and Performance), optional STM dry clutch, and Front Brake PRO/PRO+ packages.
-
International Pricing & Rollout:
-
UK Pricing: £25,495 (~₹32.16 lakh) for the Panigale V4; £30,995 (~₹39.10 lakh) for the V4 S.
-
Availability: European dealerships in March 2027, followed by the US in April 2027. An official India launch timeline and pricing update are expected to follow.
