Volvo Cars has announced an ambitious global roadmap, aiming to launch 13 new models by 2030 as part of a strategy to broaden its portfolio, double its market share, and boost its EBIT profit margin above 8%. Ahead of its investor day in Stockholm, the Swedish automaker revealed a streamlined approach focusing on regionalisation, with six new models targeted for China and seven for Western markets.
Closer to home, Volvo Cars India is gearing up for a major expansion of its electric vehicle lineup with the consecutive launch of two flagship EVs—the ES90 sedan and EX90 SUV—scheduled for October 12.

Global Product Lineup: Western-market vehicles will leverage Volvo’s advanced SPA2 and SPA3 architectures, while China-specific models will be co-developed with sister company Geely Auto.

Flagship India Launches (October 12): Both the EX90 SUV and ES90 sedan will arrive in India via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route, with expected ex-showroom pricing ranging between Rs 1 crore and Rs 1.5 crore.

Platform & Performance: Built on an 800V electrical architecture (SPA2 platform), they will be offered with two battery options:

A 92kWh RWD setup producing 333 hp.

A larger 106kWh dual-motor AWD performance variant delivering up to 680 hp.

Charging & Range: Supporting up to 350kW DC fast charging, both models can power from 10% to 80% in roughly 22 minutes. On a single charge (WLTP cycle), the EX90 delivers up to 608 km, while the aerodynamic ES90 sedan reaches up to 696 km.
