The upcoming Vivo X Fold 6 could bring massive upgrades to the foldable smartphone market, according to a leak from prominent tipster Digital Chat Station. Rumored to launch in China by the end of June 2026, the next-generation book-style foldable is tipped to deliver substantial boosts in battery capacity, processing power, and camera hardware.
Key Expected Upgrades
-
A Shift to MediaTek: In a departure from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor used in its predecessor (the X Fold 5), the Vivo X Fold 6 is rumored to be powered by MediaTek’s upcoming flagship Dimensity 9500 chipset. If true, this would make it one of the first premium foldables to adopt MediaTek’s top-tier silicon.
-
Monster Battery Life: The device is expected to feature a battery capacity in the 7,000mAh range. This would set a new benchmark for book-style foldables, which typically max out between 5,000mAh and 6,000mAh.
-
Pro-Grade Camera System: Vivo is reportedly equipping the foldable with a 200MP primary sensor. The rear setup—which retains Vivo’s signature circular camera module—is also rumored to include a 50MP periscope telephoto lens and a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
Design and Hardware Tweaks
Despite the significantly larger battery and upgraded camera optics, Vivo is reportedly maintaining a slim profile for the device. The engineering prototypes feature more rounded display corners compared to previous generations, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric security, and are currently being tested in a white colorway.
While Vivo has yet to officially confirm the launch or specifications, the X Fold 6 is positioning itself as a major powerhouse successor to last year’s model.
