A trainee IPS officer accused of stalking, assaulting, and sexually harassing a female colleague at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) was hospitalized in Hyderabad on Monday after a suspected suicide attempt.
The incident occurred at his brother’s residence in the city. Hospital authorities reported that the officer was brought in unconscious by family members, who discovered alcohol and hand sanitizer bottles near his bed. Medical staff conducted a gastric lavage and confirmed his vital parameters are stable, though official toxicology results are pending.
