Suzuki Fronx Sport Edition Launched in Malaysia with Dark Aesthetics and Upsized Wheels

Suzuki has expanded its crossover lineup in Malaysia with the official launch of the Suzuki Fronx Sport Edition. Positioned above the standard crossover variant, this new special edition brings a highly requested dose of visual aggression and youthful styling to the compact vehicle, while retaining its urban-focused hybrid mechanical layout.

The Fronx Sport Edition enters the Malaysian market with a retail price of RM 130,888 (approximately Rs 30.7 lakh). For reference, this places it at a premium over the standard Fronx Hybrid variant, which currently commands a price tag of RM 118,888.

What’s New on the Outside?

The primary differentiator for the Sport Edition lies in its comprehensive exterior styling package. Suzuki has traded the standard model’s balanced chrome accents for a more sinister, track-inspired aesthetic:

• Aero Body Kit: The variant receives a completely redesigned lower body silhouette featuring a front lower lip splitter extension, pronounced side skirts, a more aggressive rear diffuser setup, and a prominent tailgate-mounted roof spoiler.

• The “De-Chrome” Treatment: The bright chrome mesh grille found on the standard car is replaced with a sleek, blacked-out front grille. Accompanying this is a darkened, smoked Suzuki badge and exclusive ‘Fronx Sport’ side decals.

• Upsized Footwear: While the base hybrid models ride on standard 16-inch alloy wheels, the Sport Edition steps up to larger 17-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. These are wrapped in grippy 215/50 R17 Continental tyres, immediately giving the crossover a planted stance.

Cabin Equipment and Tech Upgrades

On the inside, the crossover maintains a premium layout that closely mirrors the higher-spec variants sold globally, complete with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, steering-mounted paddle shifters, a 360-degree parking camera, a wireless phone charger, and a 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment ecosystem supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

However, the Sport Edition gains one crucial piece of integrated technology over the standard lineup:

Standard 4K Dashcam: The Sport Edition comes equipped with a factory-fitted, high-definition 4K front and rear dashcam setup as standard equipment—eliminating the need for aftermarket wiring and enhancing on-road safety documentation.

Proven Mild-Hybrid Powertrain Under the Hood

While the aesthetics have received a sporty injection, the mechanical package remains completely unchanged to ensure maximum fuel efficiency and day-to-day dependability. There are no modifications made to the suspension spring rates, steering calibration, or braking hardware.
