In a deeply touching moment at the trailer launch of his upcoming courtroom drama Ikka, Bollywood veteran Sunny Deol broke down while addressing a unique tribute paid to his late father, the legendary actor Dharmendra.
The trailer concludes with a distinct end-credit sequence that introduces the star not by his name alone, but as “Dharmendra’s son, Sunny Deol.”
The gesture marks the first major release for the actor since Dharmendra passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 89. When members of the media asked about the decision behind the poignant billing, an visibly emotional Sunny Deol underscored his lifelong bond with his father.
“Main hamesha papa ka beta hoon aur waise hi rahunga… bas isse aage kuch nahi…” (I am always my father’s son and will always remain so… there is nothing beyond that…)
