Simple Energy is expanding its presence in India’s electric two-wheeler market with the global debut of its first family-oriented electric scooter, set for September 2, 2026.
Historically known for high-performance and long-range models like the Simple One and Simple Ultra, the Bengaluru-based EV startup is shifting focus toward everyday utility, comfort, and mass-market practicality.
What to Expect from the New Scooter
Reported to potentially carry the “Simple Arrive” nameplate, the upcoming two-wheeler has been developed entirely in-house on an all-new platform.
-
Design & Usability: Spy shots and recent design patents indicate a rounded, understated aesthetic replacing the aggressive angles of the Simple One. Highlights include a wide single-piece flat seat, integrated pillion backrest, roomy flat footboard, and under-seat storage space tailored for daily household errands.
-
Performance & Range: Rather than blistering top speeds, the motor and battery setup will prioritize urban efficiency. The scooter is expected to feature a smaller battery capacity compared to the 3.7 kWh pack on the Simple OneS, delivering a real-world/IDC riding range between 120 km and 150 km.
-
Hardware & Tech: Expected components include 12-inch alloy wheels, a telescopic front fork, twin rear shock absorbers, a front disc brake, and a digital TFT touchscreen setup supporting connected scooter features.
Market Positioning & Rivals
The upcoming model will place Simple Energy head-to-head with established family-focused electric scooters in India:
| Competitor Models | Expected Price Range |
| Simple Energy (New Model) | ₹1.30 Lakh – ₹1.50 Lakh (Estimated, ex-showroom) |
| Ather Rizta | Primary Direct Competitor |
| TVS iQube / Bajaj Chetak | Market Benchmark Competitors |
| Hero Vida V2 / Ampere Nexus | Segment Competitors |
By offering a more accessible entry point below the flagship Simple One lineup (which starts above ₹1.70 lakh), Simple Energy aims to capture broader volume sales across urban Indian families. Full specs, features, and pricing details will be officially revealed on September 2.
