Hot on the heels of the highly anticipated Nissan Tekton launch, Renault India has introduced a special Duster Adventure Edition. Priced from Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Adventure Edition serves as a rugged tribute to the SUV’s legacy in India.
Interestingly, Renault has positioned the special edition as a high-value option. It sits just below the standard mid-spec Techno trim, undercutting its equivalent models by Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000 while adding exclusive styling bits.
Key Visual & Feature Upgrades
While retaining the mechanical underpinnings of the standard model, the Adventure Edition introduces a distinct off-road personality:
-
Adventure Decals: Exclusive body graphics featuring topographical contour patterns alongside the geographical coordinates of Leh (34.27 N, 77.60 E)—a nod to the iconic mountain terrain closely associated with the Duster’s testing and touring legacy in India.
-
Unique Embellishments: Tougher-looking body cladding, customized Adventure-branded floor mats, and rugged trim-specific details.
-
Premium Tech & Comfort: Standard features carried over from the higher trims, including full LED headlamps, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 10.1-inch openR Link touchscreen, and 17-inch Ocean alloy wheels.
Shared DNA: Renault Duster vs. Nissan Tekton
The launch comes only days after Nissan debuted the Tekton (priced from Rs 10.49 lakh to Rs 18.59 lakh), which is a closely related, badge-engineered sibling to the Duster. Despite their shared platform, the two models target different design tastes.
Variant Pricing and Powertrains
The Adventure Edition is available in three distinct engine and transmission configurations, all powered by refined turbo-petrol powertrains:
| Variant | Engine | Transmission | Ex-Showroom Price |
| Adventure Turbo TCe 100 MT | 1.0L Turbo (99 hp / 166 Nm) | 6-speed Manual | Rs 12.99 Lakh |
| Adventure Turbo TCe 160 MT | 1.3L Turbo (161 hp / 280 Nm) | 6-speed Manual | Rs 13.99 Lakh |
| Adventure Turbo TCe 160 DCT | 1.3L Turbo (161 hp / 280 Nm) | 6-speed Dual-Clutch | Rs 15.39 Lakh |
A French Heritage Milestone: The official launch took place on Bastille Day in New Delhi, attended by H.E. Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to India, alongside Stephane Deblaise, CEO of Renault Group India, celebrating the deep historical ties and French identity behind the brand’s resurrection of the Duster nameplate.
