Mahindra has announced another price hike for its highly popular off-roader, the Thar, with the new pricing effective from July 10, 2026.
This marks the third price increase in just seven months, following previous upward adjustments in both January and April. Rising commodity and input costs are cited as the primary reasons behind the brand-wide revision, which also impacts other popular models like the Thar Roxx and XUV 3XO.
Key Price Adjustments by Variant
The price hike has been applied across the entire Thar lineup, with the premium four-wheel-drive (4WD) and automatic models receiving the steepest increases:
-
Highest Hike: The top-spec LXT 4WD 2.2 Diesel Automatic sees the sharpest jump, now costlier by ₹37,000.
-
Petrol Automatics: The premium LXT 4WD Petrol Automatic gets a ₹36,000 bump.
-
Entry-Level Model: Even the base AXT 2WD Diesel 1.5 Manual has not been spared, with its price increasing by ₹32,500.
-
Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) Trims: The more highway-focused LXT 2WD Diesel Manual and LXT 2WD Petrol Automatic see milder bumps of ₹29,500 and ₹27,000 respectively.
