Mahindra has expanded its flagship electric SUV line-up by introducing a new 6-seater configuration for the XEV 9S. Replacing the second-row bench with individual captain seats, the new layout enhances rear passenger comfort with dedicated armrests and an aisle for easier third-row access.
Available across the Pack Two Above, Pack Three, and Pack Three Above trims, the 6-seater variant commands a ₹25,000 premium over corresponding 7-seat models, carrying prices between ₹25.25 lakh and ₹30.15 lakh (ex-showroom).
Powertrain & Performance
Built on Mahindra’s INGLO electric-skateboard platform, the XEV 9S retains its original powertrain options:

Market Traction
The launch comes amid rapid growth for Mahindra’s EV division. In the first half of 2026, Mahindra recorded a 147% YoY jump in EV sales (34,131 units), securing a 23% market share and establishing itself as India’s second-largest EV manufacturer behind Tata Motors.
