The Delhi government has officially launched the registration portal for the Delhi Laxmi Yojana. Under this scheme, eligible women in Delhi will receive a monthly financial assistance of ₹2,500 directly into their bank accounts. The government aims to disburse the first instalment around Raksha Bandhan (August 28) following application scrutiny.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Delhi Laxmi Yojana, applicants must meet the following conditions:

Age & Role: Woman aged between 21 and 60 years, who is the eldest female member of her family as of the application date.

Residency: Must be a registered voter in Delhi. The applicant, her husband, or either parent must have resided in Delhi for at least 10 consecutive years.

Income Limit: Annual family income must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.

Electricity Limit: Total household electricity consumption during the preceding 12 months must not exceed 2,400 units.
Exclusions
You are ineligible if you or your family members:

Pay income tax or file GST returns.

Are government employees, work in public sector undertakings (PSUs), local bodies, or hold public office.

Own a four-wheeler vehicle.

Receive other regular government pensions or financial assistance schemes.

Have more than three children or have a criminal record.
