The countdown to the release of global star Ram Charan’s next big-screen venture, Peddi, has officially triggered a box office storm. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the high-octane action-sports drama has breached the Rs 10 crore milestone in advance ticket sales—a feat accomplished even before ticket windows have opened in the crucial market of Telangana.
Early Advance Booking Breakdown
According to leading trade analyst Ramesh Bala, the early pre-sales momentum reflects an absolute frenzy among moviegoers, driven almost entirely by Andhra Pradesh and select neighboring territories.
| Region / Market | Pre-Sales Collection | Status / Context |
| Andhra Pradesh | Rs 10.00 Crore+ | Phenomenal response across single screens & multiplexes. |
| Bengaluru (Karnataka) | Rs 1.50 Crore | Strong tracking for the Telugu version. |
| Telangana (Hyderabad) | Yet to Open | Expected to double the momentum once active. |
| Paid Premieres (Pan-India) | Rs 15.00 – 20.00 Crore | Projected earnings from early special screenings. |
Projections: A Rs 100 Crore+ Day 1 in Sight
With the current velocity of ticket sales and massive tracking figures pouring in from international markets, trade experts are predicting a historic launch pad for the film.
The Day 1 Forecast: “The advance booking trend for Peddi looks excellent,” Ramesh Bala told NDTV. “Based on the current booking momentum, a Rs 100 crore India gross from premieres and opening day looks highly achievable. If the overseas market continues at its present pace, a Rs 125 crore worldwide opening day is very much within reach.”
While the pre-sales for the core Telugu version are operating at a blockbuster level, ticket bookings for the Hindi dubbed version have only just begun and are expected to pick up pace closer to the release.
Box Office Clash & Theatrical Outlook
Peddi is scheduled for a grand theatrical rollout on June 4, 2026, with select paid preview shows commencing on the evening of June 3.
The film will face a box office transition just 24 hours later when the romantic comedy Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai releases on June 5. However, trade analysts dismiss any serious threat of business cannibalization. Peddi is structurally positioned as a massive, sweeping pan-India sports-action spectacle, whereas Hai Jawani is tracking as a light-hearted family entertainer. Given the distinct target demographics and an upcoming holiday cushion, both films are well-positioned to coexist comfortably.
