Royal Enfield has introduced two significant, practical feature updates for the 2026 Classic 350: an assist and slipper clutch and a faster USB Type-C charging port.
Crucially, these new features are reserved exclusively for the mid- and high-spec dual-channel ABS variants. The entry-level single-channel ABS model carries over without the hardware upgrades.
Pricing and Variant Breakdown
The addition of the slipper clutch creates a distinct split in the Classic 350 lineup’s price structure:
-
Base Variant (No Slipper Clutch): The single-channel ABS range starts at Rs 1.87 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Redditch Red trim. It retains the standard clutch mechanism and previous-generation charger.
-
Updated Range (With Slipper Clutch & Type-C): The dual-channel ABS variants equipped with the new features start at Rs 1.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
-
Top-Spec Variant: The premium Emerald Green dual-channel ABS variant tops out the lineup at Rs 2.24 lakh (ex-showroom).
What the New Updates Deliver
While the updates don’t alter the signature retro personality of the motorcycle, they noticeably improve daily rideability and convenience:
-
Assist & Slipper Clutch: The “assist” function reduces the effort required to pull the clutch lever, mitigating hand fatigue during heavy stop-and-go city traffic. The “slipper” function prevents rear-wheel hop and instability during aggressive or sudden downshifts, increasing overall safety and control.
-
USB Type-C Port: Replacing the older, slower USB charging port, the new Type-C unit provides much faster charging for smartphones and dedicated GPS units—a vital feature for long-distance touring.
Core Mechanics Remain Unchanged
Beyond the new clutch and charging hardware, the Classic 350 remains mechanically identical to the existing model:
| Component | Specification |
| Engine | 349cc, J-series, single-cylinder, air-oil cooled |
| Power Output | 20.2 hp |
| Torque Output | 27 Nm |
| Suspension | Telescopic front forks / Twin rear shock absorbers |
| Wheels | 19-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels |
The bike retains its characteristic upright riding posture, signature exhaust note, and time-tested heavy chassis setup.
