Norton Motorcycles, now under the stewardship of TVS, has officially unveiled its new flagship: the Norton Manx R. Launched in the UK, this 1,200 cc powerhouse marks the beginning of a bold four-model lineup that blends the brand’s storied British heritage with cutting-edge performance.
With an Indian debut expected late in 2026, the Manx R is positioned to challenge the titans of the supersport world.
Engine & Performance: Raw V4 Power
At the heart of the Manx R lies a liquid-cooled 1,200 cc 72-degree V4 engine. Norton has prioritized “real-world usability” and a massive mid-range punch over chasing peak RPMs, making it as formidable on a winding road as it is on a closed circuit.

Tech & Hardware
The Manx R is a “reductive” beauty, eschewing the trend of bulky winglets for a clean, aerodynamic silhouette. However, underneath the skin, it is packed with modern rider aids:
-
Electronics: A 6-axis IMU manages cornering ABS, traction control, and slide control.
-
Interface: A massive 8-inch TFT dashboard with smartphone connectivity and keyless ignition.
-
Braking: Top-tier Brembo Hypure calipers paired with dual 330mm front discs.
-

The Road to India
The Norton Manx R is highly anticipated for the Indian market. Thanks to the UK-India Free Trade Agreement (FTA), there is potential for more competitive pricing due to reduced import duties. TVS is expected to bring the Manx R to Indian shores by late 2026, where it will go head-to-head with rivals like the Ducati Panigale V4.
