BRACKLEY / SUZUKA — Mercedes-AMG Petronas has traded its traditional Silver Arrows aesthetic for a predator-inspired look, unveiling a “Wolf” livery for the 2026 Japanese Grand Prix. The bold design comes as the team enjoys a dominant start to the season, with George Russell currently sitting atop the Drivers’ Championship.
While the “Wolf” name invites obvious comparisons to Team Principal Toto Wolff, the team clarified the design is actually a collaboration with avant-garde fashion brand Y-3 and draws inspiration from Japanese mythology.
Design & Symbolism
The W17 will feature the wolf motif prominently on its front wing, symbolizing a “guardian” philosophy that blends raw power with calculated control.
