Bollywood actor and producer John Abraham has strengthened his profile as one of Indian cinema’s shrewdest real estate investors after acquiring a prime bungalow in Mumbai’s Bandra West for ₹84 crore.
The high-value purchase highlights the ongoing surge in “trophy home” acquisitions across Mumbai’s coastal suburbs, where independent land parcels remain at an absolute premium.
The Deal Breakdown
According to official property registration documents reviewed by real estate consultancy Liases Foras, the transaction was formally registered on July 14, 2026.
The actor secured the freehold property from members of the Divitre family (Naushir Eruch Divitre, Fredon Eruch Divitre, Crystal Firoz Divitre, and Eruch Firoz Divitre) via a conveyance deed. In addition to the base cost, the transaction incurred a stamp duty fee of ₹5.04 crore alongside standard registration charges.
A Growing Multi-Crore Portfolio
This isn’t Abraham’s first foray into top-tier Mumbai real estate. Over the past few years, the actor has systematically built a massive residential and commercial property footprint:

With this latest Bandra addition, the combined value of Abraham’s publicly recorded individual bungalow acquisitions alone exceeds ₹154 crore.

Real estate market analysts note that transactions like Abraham’s are primarily valued for the underlying land rather than the structure itself.
In densely populated, land-locked micro-markets such as Bandra West, Juhu, and Malabar Hill, standalone plots are exceptionally rare. Acquiring a freehold plot gives buyers complete architectural freedom to renovate, hold long-term, or redevelop the space into custom multi-generational family compounds.
