Actor Daisy Shah, known for her Bollywood debut in Jai Ho, recently opened up about a disturbing encounter with a filmmaker from the South. In a candid interview with The Free Press Journal, she detailed an uncomfortable experience during a casting call that took place in Mumbai.
The Incident
Daisy revealed that the incident occurred when a filmmaker traveled to Mumbai to audition several actors. She was among a group of 6-7 women invited to meet him.

The Encounter: The filmmaker insisted on meeting each candidate individually. During their private interaction, Daisy stated that his behavior became inappropriate.

The Violation: She recalled, “I didn’t like because he touched me and he was holding my hand.”

The Aftermath: Deeply unsettled by the interaction, Daisy cut the meeting short. “I told him ‘I will get back to you’ but I never got back to him,” she explained.
Personal Boundaries
Daisy emphasized that she has always maintained a strict “no-touch” policy in her personal life, making the encounter even more distressing.
“The reason why I don’t get massage done is because I don’t like being touched, even by a woman… by a man is a different story altogether. So that just put me off.”
The actor chose not to publicly name the filmmaker involved in the incident.
