Bentley Teases Torcal EV Interior: Physical Buttons & ‘Curation Engine’ Revealed

Bentley has offered a detailed preview of the interior of its upcoming Torcal EV ahead of its official global debut. Serving as Bentley’s first fully electric production vehicle, pre-production started at the historic Crewe facility in England.

Key Interior Highlights

• Retention of Physical Controls: Resisting the trend of pure, screen-only interfaces, Bentley has equipped the Torcal with physical switches on both the steering wheel and center console. Drivers can access textured silver controls for temperature, blower speed, and a dedicated volume scroll wheel.

• The “Curation Engine”: Surrounding the start/stop button is an illuminated rotary dial that controls Bentley’s new sensory system. Grounded in sensory neuroscience, it synchronizes driving dynamics, ambient lighting, cabin acoustics, and air quality across four distinct modes:

  • Bentley: The default setting balancing traditional grand-touring performance with refined comfort.

  • Comfort: Softens cabin lighting and offers a “Digital Detox” function to minimize display distractions.

  • Sport: Enhances engine audio cues, sharpens vehicle dynamics, and focuses visual displays.

  • Refresh: Brightens lighting and boosts fresh-air circulation to combat driver fatigue.

• Craftsmanship & Sustainable Materials: Features light-colored seats with embroidered winged headrests, alongside door panels and dashboard surfaces crafted from a blend of carbon fiber, leather, fabric, and traditional wood trim.
