OpenAI is rolling out a fresh update for ChatGPT Voice globally across mobile apps and the web, bridging the gap between text-based interactions and voice capabilities.
The 3 New Additions
-
Connected App & Plugin Support (Email, Calendar, & Slack):
While text users have been able to link Google and Microsoft tools (like email and calendar) and Slack for a while, Voice users previously faced a disconnect. This update enables you to interact directly with your connected apps and plug-ins using voice commands, complete with written responses tracking in the chat window.
-
Access to Latest GPT-6 Models (Astra, Sol, and Luna):
Voice mode is now powered by OpenAI’s latest model family. This includes the flagship GPT-6 Astra model, alongside the newly introduced medium and small intelligence models, Sol and Luna, bringing parity to text and voice intelligence levels.
-
Integration with ChatGPT Work (Web & Mobile):
You can now tackle heavy-duty or complex workflows—such as creating documents, slide decks, websites, and spreadsheets—directly in your browser or mobile app simply by talking.
