During an Oval Office signing ceremony for an executive order on childhood vaccine recommendations, viral clips on X (formerly Twitter) began circulating showing a woman standing directly between President Donald Trump and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
As Trump signed the document, the woman was seen nodding repeatedly while holding her hand flat over her stomach. Internet sleuths quickly jumped to wild conclusions, claiming she was holding a secret device to shock or signal Trump to keep him alert during the press conference.
The Reality Check
The woman in the video was quickly identified as Jayme Leagh Franklin, founder and CEO of the conservative media brand The Conservateur.
