Political Ascent: From ABVP Leader to MP

Pradhan’s political path began during his student days through the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP):

• 1983–1985: Started as an ABVP activist at Talcher College and was elected President of the Talcher College Students’ Union in 1985.

• 1993–1995: Advanced through the organizational ranks to become the State Secretary (1993) and later National Secretary (1995) of ABVP.

• 1998: Officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
