Ahead of its official market launch on May 28, Tata Motors has released the first official images of the 2026 Tata Tiago facelift interior. The updates reveal a substantial cabin overhaul that replaces the aging integrated layout with a highly digitized, contemporary environment.
The Big Update: Dual Free-Floating Screens
The centerpiece of the 2026 cabin is a completely redesigned dashboard featuring a layered, modern architectural style.
Tata has implemented a dual free-standing screen setup. While the primary central infotainment touchscreen retains a familiar interface, it is now joined by a fully digital instrument cluster. This screen setup marks a major evolution from the basic, dated LCD display found in the outgoing model.
Redesigned Center Console & Creature Comforts
To accommodate the new visual profile, several structural elements within the cabin have been modified:
-
-
Dual Wireless Charging: The center console has been redesigned with a premium gloss-black finish and now houses two wireless charging pads. However, adding these pads has removed the open storage cubby from the previous model.
-
Refreshed Materials: The cabin features revised door pads, a newly integrated front center armrest, and fresh dual-tone black and grey premium fabric upholstery.
-
Controls & Steering: The dashboard layout introduces sleek, horizontal AC vents and a floating panel for climate control functions, though the reliable physical HVAC switchgear remains. The familiar two-spoke Tata steering wheel carries over unchanged.
-
Missed Cut: Despite the premium additions up front, budget constraints mean the 2026 Tiago facelift still lacks a rear center armrest and adjustable rear headrests.
Exterior and Mechanical Highlights
While the interior steals the spotlight, the car’s exterior receives key cosmetic updates including redesigned front and rear bumpers, fresh alloy wheels, and new LED headlamps and taillamps connected by high-contrast trim strips.
The mechanical configurations remain identical to the existing line:
| Engine Options | Peak Power Output | Available Transmissions |
| 1.2L Petrol | 86 hp | 5-speed Manual / 5-speed AMT |
| 1.2L iCNG | 75.5 hp | 5-speed Manual / 5-speed AMT |
Expected Price and Rivals
The revealed cabin belongs to the internal combustion engine (ICE) variants, though the upcoming Tiago EV facelift is expected to share this layout with minor color modifications.
Pricing will be officially announced on May 28, with a minor premium expected over the current model’s price range of Rs 4.60 lakh to Rs 7.68 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated hatchback will continue its market battle against rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, Maruti Suzuki Celerio, and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
