According to dealership waiting-period data reported by NDTV Auto and industry analysis from Auto Punditz and EVFY, Tata Motors’ passenger vehicle range shows a wide divide in delivery times. While several internal combustion engine (ICE) and CNG models are ready within weeks, specific entry-level electric vehicle (EV) trims face delays stretching up to 24 weeks.
Fastest Deliveries (1 to 3 Weeks)
-
1 to 2 Weeks: Tigor, Altroz (all powertrains), Curvv EV, and Nexon (petrol and CNG).
-
2 to 3 Weeks: Curvv petrol and diesel, Nexon diesel, Harrier EV, and diesel variants of the Harrier and Safari.
Moderate Delays (3 to 12 Weeks)
-
3 to 4 Weeks: Nexon EV.
-
4 to 8 Weeks: Most standard petrol, diesel, and CNG variants for the Tiago, Punch, and Sierra ICE (with non-Smart variants arriving in 2 to 6 weeks).
-
10 to 12 Weeks: Tiago and Punch (petrol/CNG Smart trims), along with Harrier and Safari petrol variants.
Extended EV Delays (10 to 24 Weeks)
The longest queues are concentrated on Tata’s entry-level battery configurations rather than its premium electric models:
-
Tiago EV: The Smart 19 and Pure+ 19 trims command an 18 to 24-week wait, whereas other variants are delivered in 4 to 6 weeks.
-
Punch EV: The Smart 30 variant faces an 18 to 24-week wait, the Smart 40 requires 10 to 12 weeks, and remaining trims take 8 to 10 weeks.
-
Sierra EV: The Pure 65 trim carries a 12 to 15-week wait, while other versions ship within 4 to 6 weeks.
