Automobili Lamborghini India has officially ushered in its next era of electrified performance, delivering the country’s very first Temerario. Priced at Rs 6 crore (ex-showroom), this High-Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) arrives as the spiritual and technical successor to the legendary, naturally aspirated Huracan.
The Powertrain: A 10,000 RPM Masterclass
The headlining act of the Temerario is its groundbreaking hybrid layout. Moving away from the older V10, Lamborghini has engineered an all-new 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine.
This isn’t just any turbo engine; it screams all the way to an unprecedented 10,000 rpm—a first for a production turbo supercar. By integrating the high-revving V8 with three electric motors and a 3.8 kWh battery pack, the Temerario pushes boundaries across the board.
Juicing Up: The compact 3.8 kWh hybrid battery can be replenished in roughly 30 minutes. Drivers can charge it via standard plug-in architecture, on-the-go regenerative braking, or by letting the V8 engine act as a direct generator.
Aggressive Design & Advanced Dynamics
The Temerario evolves Lamborghini’s iconic, razor-sharp wedge silhouette into a highly functional aerodynamic package. Up front, ultra-slim headlights sit just above striking, hexagonal LED daytime running lights that frame massive air intakes. The stance is completed by staggered alloy wheels—20-inch rims up front and 21-inch units at the rear—alongside wide side skirts feeding air to the mid-mounted engine.
Power hits the tarmac via an intelligent e-4WD system featuring electric torque vectoring. This electronic wizardry continuously shifts power between individual wheels to ensure relentless grip, composure, and razor-sharp agility through corners. For city driving, the hybrid architecture even permits short, silent stints on pure electric power.
Cockpit: “Feel Like a Pilot”
Step inside, and the cabin borrows its dramatic layout directly from its big brother, the Revuelto.
The interior balances raw motorsport intent with digital luxury, featuring a triple-screen layout:
-
A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver.
-
An 8.4-inch vertical infotainment screen in the center console.
-
A dedicated 9.1-inch display right in front of the passenger.
The entire cabin is swathed in premium carbon fiber, leather, and ultra-durable Corsatex suede. True to Lamborghini tradition, firing up the V8 requires flipping open a fighter-jet-inspired red cover over the start-stop button, keeping the sense of occasion alive every time you drive.
On the safety front, the supercar comes equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), comprehensive multi-airbag protection, tire pressure monitoring, and advanced ABS with EBD.
